Why edulaw?
Hello. Let's introduce ourselves.
I'm Sücayət Əliyeva — Head of Legal at VLM and Partners, a law and tax consulting firm. I've practised for over four years across commercial, migration, intellectual property, and other areas.
¶ Why I built this
I built edulaw to give law students and early-career lawyers direct access to the practical knowledge no classroom teaches.
Many students and graduates struggle to land a first role because firms no longer hire on theory alone — they expect hands-on experience. edulaw exists to close that gap.
Through the interactive video lessons you'll learn to:
- Handle the practical side of legal work.
- Walk into interviews with confidence.
- Make decisions in real time, under pressure.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with clients.
- Run legal processes step by step, the way the rules require.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be a law student?
No. We’re built for law students, recent graduates, and early-career lawyers, but anyone who wants to understand legal procedures is welcome.
Are the certificates officially recognized?
Certificates are issued by edulaw and confirm course completion. They are not a state license — practicing as a lawyer in Azerbaijan still requires the bar exam. Certificates are designed to be shown to employers and added to a CV.
Is the content on edulaw legal advice?
No. Everything here is for learning. Lessons, brochures, and consultations are not legal advice for a specific matter and don’t create a lawyer-client relationship. For your own case, consult a licensed lawyer.
Who creates the courses?
Practicing lawyers based in Azerbaijan. Each course names its author — you’ll know who’s teaching you.
How does the consultation work?
After purchasing a package with consultation, pick a convenient time and meet a lawyer for 30 minutes online. Ask about interview prep, course-related topics, or specific case questions.
When can I watch the courses?
Lifetime access — once you’ve purchased a package, watch, pause, and rewatch any time.
